deepseabigcitysmallroom

by Fronz Arp

In 2013, I spent 8 months living in New York, in a small East Harlem apartment. In that time I kept writing and recording in the little room I lived in on my laptop and small recording rig. The tracks ended up being raw and stripped back, full of acoustic sound created from my guitar and bits of furniture around the room

FRONZ ARP IS A TINY CROOKED ORCHESTRA

by Fronz Arp

Throughout 2012, I ran a songwriting project designed to push my capabilities as a songwriter, producer and musician. In Fronz Arp is a Tiny Crooked Orchestra, I released a song every two weeks, produced in as high a quality as possible on my minimal home studio (mostly based around Protools and a Shure Beta58 microphone). "It’s easy to figure out where the David Bowie comparisons come from after hearing just a few notes from Fronz Arp. The poppy sound and catchy beats certainly bring to mind one of Britain’s finest" - The Indie Mine, 2013

LIVE IN AN EMPTY THEATRE

by Fronz Arp

While living in Sydney, I recorded live footage at the Red Box Theatre in Lilyfield (Cinematography by Steve Munro). The performance was completely live and solo and featured songs from all my albums, some new that were to appear on "Tiny Crooked Orchestra" and some completely one-off tracks

WHAT STRANGE MACHINES

by Fronz Arp

What Strange Machines was mostly recorded and mixed in several apartments in Sydney, Australia. Some of my most obscure and diverse songs, WSM was inspired while exploring more flamboyant and theatrical ideas

"With brilliantly diverse musicality, Arp’s versatile vocals and the use of less conventional instruments such as the kazoo and the ukulele, Fronz Arp is not afraid to be adventurous" TRAXX RADIO

TENACIOUS WORMS

by Fronz Arp

Tenacious Worms was renamed from Angry Birds (Eat Tenacious Worms) after garnering far too much interest based on the iphone it preceded. Mostly recorded in Brisbane in several studios I was working in at the time "...songs full of drama and action, designed to get pulses racing and yet still sounding both intricate and adventurous” Rave Magazine

SOCIAL ARCHITECTURE
